Not ones known for shying away from crunching guitar tunes featuring soaring vocals and roaring drumbeats, the shams are back with their rolling new cut ‘Sharp As A Razor’. Forever adding to their exemplary back-catalogue, ‘Sharp As A Razor’ follows on from their previous release, ‘Dreams, Schemes & Young Teams’.

Explosive and effervescent, the dreamy brit-pop quintet effortlessly displays their rock prowess through their use of wild instrumentation and insightful lyricism with an almost unmatched ability. Released on Eggman Records, the track features adrenaline-fuelled rock-heavy vocals accompanied by whooping harmonies and hazy guitar lines. The Fife five-piece are firmly on their way to cementing themselves in Scottish rock history.

Lending an insight onto the track, the boys divulge, “We wanted to write a proper thumping tune that would go down a storm live but still keep a bit of simplicity & swagger about it. The song is pretty much about not caring what people think or say about you. The chorus lyrics are a little nod to the g.o.a.t Muhammad Ali. We took inspiration from a rhyme he would use on the build-up to his fight against Joe Frazier.”

The band are heading out on a string of UK tour dates, their headlines having been sold out in almost a heartbeat. Shambolics’ dates can be found below if you fancy catching them live.
